FAQs

I will add to this list as I get more questions.

What is a YAV?

YAV stands for Young Adult Volunteer. I am working as a volunteer through a Presbyterian Church (USA) ministry called the Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) Program. The Young Adult Volunteers (YAVs) are placed in sites around the world where we learn and live in intentional christian communities. Here is the link if you would like more information about the program: http://www.presbyterianmission.org/ministries/yav/

What is PC (USA)?

PC (USA) stands for the Presbyterian Church (USA). It is the organization that runs the Young Adult Volunteer Program and many other things.

Where are you serving?

I am serving in the Philippines. The Philippines is a southeast asian country consisting of over 7,600 islands. The country is divided into three regions, in order from North to South: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Specifically, I serve in a city called Dumaguete – also known as the city of gentle people – which is located in the Visayas region.
